Welcome to Glamping at Marysville Holiday Park
With three tents across two styles, our glamping accommodation is ideal for couples, romantic getaways and small group bookings. The tents are only a short stroll from the amenities block and provide an easy way to unwind in Marysville while staying close to the region’s walks, waterfalls and local attractions.

We do not recommend glamping if you don’t want to fall asleep to the soft rhythm of the river and wake to a peaceful morning in Marysville.
“OMG, what a gorgeous setup. The glamping tents were amazing and so cosy. We had an amazing weekend. I didn’t realise Marysville was so beautiful”
– Michelle L.
Glamping
Three tents on the Steavenson River. One larger fixed-deck tent (the Lyrebird) and two five-metre round bell tents (the Kookaburra and the Black Cockatoo). All three have the same core fit-out: queen bed with linen, reverse-cycle climate control, coffee machine, kettle and microwave, outdoor deck with a gazebo and firepit, and hard-wired power. The Lyrebird is roomier inside; the two bell tents have a different feel from the canvas dome and sit in different spots on the riverbank.
Lyrebird Tent
The Lyrebird is the largest of the three glamping tents. A six-metre by four-metre Twin Pro tent on a fixed timber deck, right on the riverbank. The shape gives you the most interior space and the most layered floor plan inside. There is a separate seating area with two occasional chairs. The queen bed sits along one wall with full linen. A TV handles USB or DVD playback for nights when you want to wind down inside rather than out by the fire.
- Queen bed with linen and pillows
- Separate seating area with two occasional chairs
- Kitchen with coffee machine, kettle, microwave and fridge
- TV with USB and DVD playback
- Outdoor deck with fixed gazebo and firepit
- Reverse-cycle split system for year-round comfort
- Hard-wired power throughout
The Lyrebird suits couples wanting more room inside the tent, longer stays, and any night where you want the option of staying in rather than spending the whole evening outside.
Kookaburra Tent
The Kookaburra is a five-metre round bell tent on its own deck on the riverbank. The canvas dome gives the inside a different feel from the Lyrebird, more enclosed and shelter-like, with plush rugs and cushions softening the floor space. The queen bed sits centred under the apex and the reverse-cycle split system holds the temperature regardless of season.
- Queen bed with linen and pillows
- Plush rugs and cushions throughout the interior
- Kitchen with coffee machine, kettle and microwave
- Outdoor deck with fixed gazebo and firepit
- Reverse-cycle split system for year-round comfort
- Hard-wired power throughout
The Kookaburra and Black Cockatoo share the same fit-out and tent style. The differentiation between them comes down to position on the riverbank, outlook from inside, light at different times of day, and proximity to neighbouring tents. None of that is in the profile or on the live page. Operator input from Cameron, Steph or Kim would let us write more useful differentiation here and on the individual tent pages. Until that input arrives, the descriptions are written honestly (same fit-out, different positions) without fabricated position-specific detail.
The Kookaburra and the Black Cockatoo share the same fit-out. The positions on the riverbank and the outlook from each tent are what differ between them.
Black Cockatoo Tent
The Black Cockatoo is the second of the two five-metre round bell tents, on its own deck a short walk from the Kookaburra. Same canvas dome, same plush rug and cushion set-up inside, same queen bed centred under the apex, same reverse-cycle climate control. The position on the riverbank and the outlook from inside the tent are what set it apart from the Kookaburra.
- Queen bed with linen and pillows
- Plush rugs and cushions throughout the interior
- Kitchen with coffee machine, kettle and microwave
- Outdoor deck with fixed gazebo and firepit
- Reverse-cycle split system for year-round comfort
- Hard-wired power throughout
Where the glamping zone sits in the park
he three glamping tents are clustered on the river side of the park, away from the main cabin and camping zones. From the tents it is a short walk along a lit path to the amenities block, the camp kitchen, and the office. The park map shows the full layout.
Glamping at Marysville Holiday Park: your practical questions answered
What time can we check in?
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 10am. If you are driving up after work and arriving late, let us know when you book and we will leave the key and instructions ready for you. Early arrival depends on whether the tent was used the night before; ring the office on the day to check.
What is already in the tent when we arrive?
The bed is made up with linen and pillows. The tent is at temperature (we run the reverse-cycle system before you arrive in cold weather). The kitchen has a coffee machine, kettle, microwave, fridge, plates, mugs, cutlery and basic cookware. Towels are included. You bring food, warm layers, toiletries and a torch for the walk to the amenities at night.
Are the bathrooms private?
No. The glamping tents share the park’s amenities block, which sits a short walk along a lit path from the tent zone. The amenities have hot showers, separate toilets and basins, and are cleaned to a holiday-park standard. Bring a torch for the walk to the amenities at night (Q2 above lists what to pack). At peak times, particularly long weekends and school holiday Saturdays, the amenities can be busier in the morning rush; outside those windows you usually have the space to yourself.
Where do we park?
There is parking near the glamping zone. You will not be parking right next to the tent (the tents sit back from the road on a quieter run of the riverbank) but the walk from car to tent is short. The team at the office will show you where to park when you check in.
What if we are travelling with kids or a dog?
The glamping tents are couples-only and the glamping zone is kid-free and dog-free by design. If you are travelling with family, our Maple cabins, Riverview and Garden View cabins and powered camping sites are all family-friendly. If you are travelling with a dog, our pet-friendly cabins and powered/unpowered sites take up to two dogs per booking (on lead in the park, $15 per night pet fee). Booking a glamping tent for one couple plus a cabin for the rest of the group is a set-up we host every weekend.
